Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 犯罪學研究所 === 104 === By using the criminological theory- Routine Activity Theory and Social Disorganization Theory to extract 9 items of human environmental variables in Keelung City, and then we use the social statistics methods, the exploratory spatial data analysis and the crime mapping to analyze residential burglaries. From this study, we can understand the causes residential burglaries occurrence of Keelung City in 2008~2012. Research findings are as follows: 1.The ecological analysis of crime: male ratio and the ratio of higher education population can influence the occurrence of residential burglaries in Keelung City. 2.The spatial analysis of crime: Xin-yi District is major hot spots of crime in Keelung City, Anle District is major cold spots of crime in Keelung City. Then, we analysis 9 items of human environmental variables which are hot spots of crime or cold spots of crime by using the ArcGIS. Further research findings are as follows: 1.In hot spots of crime: (1)Male ratio is spatial outlier(cold spots). (2)Immigration and Emigration rate are spatial cluster(hot spots). (3)Higher education population is spatial cluster(hot spots). 2.In cold spots of crime: (1)Immigration and Emigration rate are spatial outlier(cold spots). (2)Public Monitor Density is spatial cluster(hot spots). The result of ecological and spatial analysis can explain the causes of the residential burglary hotspots in Keelung City to use the Absence of Capable Guardianship and Suitable Target in Routine Activity Theory and the High Turnover of residents in Social Disorganization Theory. These conclusions can provide government units to formulate policy and help the police to develop more accurate and efficient strategies of criminal investigation.
