Willing or not, speed is everything and we are all obsessed with using less time to finish more tasks. I am also one of them. I felt I needed more time after I graduated from the college. I worked and then went back to the school again. I felt like I needed to complete more by multi tasking. By chance, one of my friends gave me a suggestion of making tea props in metal. Tea is a drink of comfort. I started to slow my pace down by drinking tea and making tea props, and by that I learned how to take more advices during creative process. Chapter one: The Start is describing my child life ,the cultivation of craftsman ship, school life, and the change of my career. There are two parts in Chapter two: Related Theory and the Discussion. The first part is discussing the phenomenon of people pursuing fast pace of life and the awakening of slow live, while the second part is focus on the tea culture and the research of tea props. Chapter three: Concept is the introspection of my previous self and the thoughts of modern life, which leads to the taste of tea and the pace of tea , and the connection for the statement of my creation presenting with tea props. Chapter four: My Works presents three series of my creation to reveal three stages of my life: “Rest” is the relaxing moment of ordinary lives while your mind is resting. “Slow” is the introspection of rush mindset while I was creating. “Delight” is piece of leisure time from the busy life. I am organizing my journey of learning and the change of the state of mind to achieve self healing and introspection, and also to present my works to those who are interested in tea culture.
