The research based on case study through interviews Lulu’s mother and teacher Yeh to present the role of mother’s feelings and viewpoints. In addition, through observation and data collection to realize Lulu’s school readiness. According to the concepts of families’ readiness for school on parenting beliefs, attitudes, expectations and support, there were three findings in this study: 1.Beliefs and attitudes: (1) Lulu’s mother had positive attitude, often adjusted her thoughts and emotion through reflection. (2) The child’s abilities were mother’s major concerns on decision of postponing to enter the first grade. (3) Regarding on school location, teaching methods and school environment, Lulu’s mother chose the elementary school nearby home. 2.Expectations: Lulu’s mother foster his abilities on learning skills and attitude, as well as cognitive abilities and general knowledge. 3.Support: (1) Lulu’s mother regularly accompanied him to attend rehabilitation program, she also positively participated in activities of different parent groups to enrich and exchange of information, and learning with other families. (2) Based on observation of Lulu’s behavior, mother created daily routine and home environment for fostering his learning and development. (3) After entering elementary school, Lulu would attend resource classroom, mother would apply for a volunteer to assist him. Lulu’s mother would continue to participate class activities for understanding Lulu’s learning and adaptation in school. There were influential factors such as primary caregiver’s beliefs, family members’ attitude, medical resources would influence families’ readiness for the child’s schools transition from preschool to elementary school. In the transition process, Lulu’s mother depended on her patience and beliefs to provide and support Lulu’s growth and learning. At last, the researcher gives reflections and suggestions based on the research results.
