Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 化學系 === 104 === We synthesized Ru(bpy)2(NH2-phen)2+ by reacting Ru(bpy)2Cl2 with 1,10-phenanthrolin-5-amine (NH2-phen), and then attached the resulting product on multi-walled carbon nanotube and highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) through diazotization/denitrogenation processes. We found that Ru(bpy)2(NH2-phen)2+ and the resulting Ru@CNT and Ru@HOPG exhibited magnetism as exposed to the 473-nm light at room temperature. In view of the fact that most metal-coated magnetic-mode AFM (MFM) tips are prone to oxidation in the air, we then devoted efforts to modifying Ru(bpy)2(NH2-phen)2+ on commercial silicon-based tips to fabricate photomagnetic AFM tips. The resultant tips show application potential in MFM imaging.
