All individuals belong to a family and society is a conglomeration of all families. Social morality, culture, and orderly social environments have been established to restrict individuals' thoughts and actions so that individuals and families can all live according to a norm. Certain expectations and roles are delineated for the different genders, such as the beliefs that men are superior to women and that women should stay at home. Although society as a whole has progressed from the traditional agrarian society into the industrial age and information age, women are still caught between old and new values and are often repressed by antiquated cultures to the detriment of their minds and bodies. The investigator of this study used a personal narrative to investigate how traditional social gender expectations and family ideologies affected the development and lives of women. The investigator's self-exploration, literature review, and reflections help remove the constraints against women placed there by traditional social morality and culture. This study can help empower women with similar experiences and improve the gender sensitivity of professionals. CHEN, YU-PING 陳宇平 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 100 zh-TW
