Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 諮商與輔導學系碩士班 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the immediate and continuous counseling effect on depression-oriented adolescents’ sense of hope and levels of depression through Hope-oriented Therapy group. The design of this study was quasi-experimental design. The participants were 12 students from a middle school in south area, and were divided into experimental group and control group. Participants in experimental group received 10 group counseling sessions, 90 minutes per session. Participants of control group didn’t receive any treatment.
In this study, the assessments that were used to measure the effects were Hope Scale in Chinese Versions, and Depression Screening Scale for Children and Adolescent. The participants received pretest, posttest, and follow-up test。The participants in experimental group received feedback questionnaire of each session, the Group Therapeutic Factor Inventory, and total feedback questionnaire of group. After the end of group, researcher had individual interviews with participants in experimental group to comprehend the change among the participants, and used these information as evidences of study results.
Furthermore, depending on the results of this study, the related suggestions were provided. The main conclusions of this study are as bellow:
1. There was no immediate counseling effect on depression-oriented adolescents’ sense of hope through Hope-oriented Therapy group. However, the continues counseling effect did be presented.
2. There was neither immediate counseling effect nor continuous counseling effect on depression-oriented adolescents’ levels of depression through Hope-oriented Therapy group.
