Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系科技發展與傳播碩士班 === 104 === The purpose of this study is to understand school library media specialists’ role perception and professional development in elementary and junior high school. This study used literature review and questionnaires. The subjects are school library media specialists who joined the plan in 103 school year. The collected data were processed by SPSS. The results of the study lead to the following conclusions: 1. School library media specialists all know their role perceptions. 2. There is no different cognition toward the ideal and practical perceptions. 3. As for the influence of gender, age, job position, and working experience, there is no significant difference in full dimension. 4. School library media specialists’ professional developments which they need the most is reading strategy.
