Questionnaire investigation is adopted as the research method in this research. The sample population included 93 section chiefs of special education in junior high schools in Taichung city. The research tool is a questionnaire designed by the author called ” The Questionnaire of job involvement and administration effectiveness of section chiefs of special education in junior high schools in Taichung city”. The data was analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and stepwise regression. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1. The current status of job involvement and administration effectiveness of section chiefs of special education in junior high schools in Taichung city is good (above average). 2. The job involvement and administration effectiveness of section chiefs of special education in junior high schools in Taichung city have some significant differences based on different backgrounds. 3. There is significant positive correlation between job involvement and administration effectiveness. 4. Section chiefs of special education’ administration effectiveness can be predicted by job involvement. Based on the results, the study provides suggestions for education authorities and teacher training institutions, school administration, chiefs of special education in junior high schools and future researches.
