The purpose of the study is to explore how the teachers in Taiwan and Mainland China present the main points of the content and how they use questioning strategies to help the students think and enhance the reading comprehension of the learners. This comparative study, which is based on grounded theory, aims to analysis the content of A Fisherman's Song with two elementary school Chinese teachers in Taiwan and Mainland China. By watching the video, coding, using the theoretical sensitivity and creating the conditional matrix, the researcher tries to investigate the different teachings on the points and questioning strategies of elementary school Chinese teachers in Taiwan and Mainland China. The findings are as the followings: 1. The teaching activities are well-arranged by the teachers with clear instructions and meaningful purposes. 2. The teaching points are based on the content knowledge of poetry and the principles of Chinese Curriculum Guide. 3. The design of the questions contains different question types, which helps build up the structure of learning.
