This study also investigates the participants’ differences in their different backgrounds, explores correlations between job stress and job satisfaction degree. Moreover, the researcher makes conclusions and suggestions to educational authorities, schools and elementary school music teachers. The participants of this study are elementary school music teachers in Taichung City. The researcher used questionnaire survey to collect data. With doing literature review and obtaining comments from consulting experts, scholars and in-service music teachers, the researcher designed this questionnaire, named as “Taichung City Music Teachers’ Job Stress and Job Satisfaction Questionnaire.” There were 442 copies of questionnaire sent to participants and 442 returned. However, there were 392 valid copies of questionnaire. The approaches of data analysis included descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA and Pearson's product-moment correlation. Keywords: job pressure of music teachers, job satisfaction degree of music teachers, elementary school music teachers The findings of this study as follows: 1.Participants have low to intermediate work pressure degree, and feel less stressed at interpersonal relationship. 2.Participants have significant differences in job stress between different genders. 3.Participants have medium to high job satisfaction degree, and are most satisfied at peers interaction. 4.Participants have no significant difference in job pressure degree in the variable of different backgrounds, but they have a significant difference with such background factors as academic diploma, teaching years, current position and school size. 5.Overall job pressure of participants, there was a significant moderate negative correlation with overall job satisfaction degree. 6.All dimensions of job stress of participants have significant low negative correlations with all dimensions of job satisfaction.
