Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 區域與社會發展學系碩士班 === 104 === The purpose of this study is to explore the reading instruction of teacher librarian of junior high school for the learning results of the 7th graders using of libraries and reading comprehension and to analyze the teaching contents, students learning performance and satisfaction. The case study method is adopted in this study for researching teacher librarians of Shih-Chi Junior High School and one class of 7th graders, and the collected data from observation and interview were hereby analyzed. Results indicated that: (1) The contents of reading instruction of teacher librarian of junior high school is a unit of use of libraries and information resources, which contains: the library services, library classification, data search and inquiry, database, e-books, and application for library card of public library. The strategy of reading instruction includes: prediction, underlining, ask question(5W1H), summerization, and structure. (2) Junior high school students have a good performance of competence in the unit of use of libraries and information resources. All students understood that the student chief of library acted as a bridge of communication between library and students, and knew the library basic rule. But, few of students do not understand how many comic books can be borrowed, and also do not know that books on the shelf have their call number. (3) There was no difference of reading comprehension ability of students before and after having reading lesson. There was a difference between students in retrieving information, but no difference of performance in the integration and explanation and reflection and evaluation. (4) Students satisfied with learning after having reading instruction. The average of cognition level got 7.51 points, affection level got 8 points, and skill level got 7.44 points. The conclusion of this study are proposed three suggestions for school administration and teacher librarian and two suggestions for future research.
