Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 區域與社會發展學系碩士班 === 104 === This study aims to explore the application of “Share Start” teaching method on Chinese learning for the fourth graders of elementary school and the problems and difficulties encountered during the implementation process as well as to know about the learning performance of three aspects of reading ability, language ability, and writing ability and the students’ feedback to such teaching method. Action research approach was used in this study, which 26 fourth-grade students of Taichung Tienshi Elementary school were as the studying objects and the current Chinese text were as teaching materials. This teaching research lasted for 8 weeks, total 24 lessons. This study tried to analyze and discuss the materials inclusive of learning sheets, teaching observation, reflective journal, student interview, learning feedback sheets, PIRLS reading comprehension test, oral expression scores, and short essay scores. This study provides some results as follows: 1.The difficulties result from the process of the application of “Share Start” teaching method on Chinese learning are insufficient teaching time, teaching material is not easy to design, hard to control the process of group discussion, insufficient student discussion and integrated skills, lack of further discussion, and hard to have the ability of self- thinking. For solving the above problems, it is suggested that having precise researching material design, attending the related conference of reading comprehension ability for promoting self-ability, combining appropriate teaching videos with teaching content to enrich the teaching patterns, using rewards according to students’ discussion situation for appropriate support, and creating positive atmosphere at group discussion and good relationship among group. 2.Based on the application of “Share Start” teaching method, students’ ability of reading comprehension and oral expression had obvious improvement, but exclusive of writing ability. 3.In general, after having the application of “Share Start” teaching method, most of the students’ three layers of learning motivate and attitudes, learning experiences, and learning growth towards positive, and this shall be affirmative. Finally, some suggestion will be proposed according this study research results and will be as references for teachers and follow-up researchers
