It raises stress levels and disrupts sexual health in females and has the potential to cause rifts between married couples. Purpose This research explores the impact that postpartum depression and fatigue may have on female sexual function. The aim is to identify any predictable factor, which might control the sexual function of postpartum woman. Method A cross-sectional study of 135 (sample-size) postpartum woman was conducted and of their closed cases from the department of gynecology and obstetrics in north of Taiwan hospitals. The statistical element of the study involved developing a well-structured questionnaire and filing and analysis using SPSS 20.0 software. The questionnaire contains Demographic/Obstetrical information, Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, Visual Analogue Scale for Fatigue, and Female Sexual Function Index. Results In our study the mean sexual function index score was 22.04(±5.41). Mean scores of 4.10(±1.05), for ‘Sexual Satisfaction’ were the highest followed by ‘Lubrication’ with score of 4.08(±1.07) and finally ‘Desire’ with a score of 2.58(±0.87). The results reveal that variations in Education level, Delivery type, Epiostomy, experience of Delivery complications, and differing Breast feeding practices all impacted the woman sexual function index. The results also show the negative correlation between Postpartum depression (correlation coefficient in -.18~ -.26, p < .05, p < .01) and Postpartum fatigue (correlation coefficient in -.18~ -.20, p < .05); The 6% variation of sexual function can accounted for by Education level, Delivery type, Epiostomy, Breast feeding, and Delivery complication, Postpartum Depression, and Postpartum fatigue 盧玉嬴 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 107 zh-TW
