It is instrumental in the manufacture of diverse products such as tire, rubber gloves, etc. All products need natural rubber in their composition, whether they are industrial or consumer goods. In Thailand, the agricultural sector is of great importance and the rubber industry with its annual export surpluses is considered the backbone of this Southeast Asian country’s agricultural sector. This highlights the importance of the rubber industry which is one of the greatest assets in the stabilization of Thailand’s economy. The rubber industry not only earns foreign exchange but also provides lots of job opportunities which contribute to the stabilization of the domestic economy. For years, The Thai government has attached a high importance to the development of the rubber industry. It has adopted a series of policies to support the development of the industry. With the change in the international situation of south-east Asia, what impact will this bring to the natural rubber industry? The outcome of our research shows that there is a strong correlation between the rubber industry and the Thai economy. It has three important effects on the Thai economy. These effects are, poverty alleviation, creating forex, and making environmental innovation value. From the perspectives of economic security, these positive impacts on Thai economy will spread to Thai politics. Therefore, we conclude that political stability derives from economic prosperity, which could be seen as the utmost solution to the issue of frequent military coups in the country. Samuel C. Y.
