Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 休閒運動健康系所 === 104 === Purpose: This study explored the effect of light touch on postural control and the performance of visual search in adolescents with Cerebral Palsy. Methods: Ten adolescents with cerebral palsy were recruited from National Pingtung Special School. All of them were performed visual search and inspection tasks in no touch (NT) and light touch (LT) conditions. Dependent variables were light touch force, variability (standard deviation) and velocity of postural sway, and visual search accuracy. Descriptive analysis was used for analyzing light touch force, and t tests were employed to analyzing search accuracy. Also, a task (2: search vs. inspection) x touch (2: NT vs. LT) x trial (2) repeated measure ANOVA was conducted. Results: The present study showed that light touch would significantly reduce head sway variability in the mediolateral direction. The execution of visual search would reduce head ML sway variability also. No other significant results were found. Conclusion: This study demonstrated the use of light touch would reduce head sway, but light touch would not have any influence on the performance of visual search.
