Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 休閒運動健康系所 === 104 === purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of whole body vibration recovery on delayed onset of muscle soreness in baseball pitchers. Method: Nine DivisionⅠcollege Baseball pitchers participated in this study. Subjects performed one repetition maximum (1RM) test and two treatments in a counterbalanced order: whole body vibration recovery (WBV, n =9) and control (CON, n =9). Before the experiment, the participants take the test project: range of motion (ROM), creatine kinase (CK), myoglobin (MLB). With intervention of whole body vibration (frequently: 50Hz, 40Hz and 30Hz sequentially each two minutes) during the simulate game. CON did not perform recovery. The ROM, CK and MLB of all participants, including control subjects were measured on days 2-4 after the simulate game. In this study, two-way ANOVA (group by time) with repeated measures were employed for the statistical analysis, if there were significant differences among ROM, CK, MLB after simulate game, and the significance was set at α = .05. Result: The CK and MLB of WBV group showed significant differences compared to CON group (p< .05). In addition, the ROM no significant difference was observed of WBV group (p< .05). Conclusion: This study find that whole body vibration recovery during the game could attenuate muscle damage, but cannot effectively improve the range of motion.
