碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 土木工程系所 === 104 === Due to manpower deficit and resources shortage, volunteer fire organization is authorized by law to assist fire department in various rescue missions. Volunteer fire fighters are considered as the rescue force in the first line, their skill, attitude, professional knowledge and enthusiasm are the keys to fulfill the assignments. This case study is based on the analysis conducted through a questionnaire to the firefighters of Pingtung County Fire Bureau focusing on the topics of the laws and regulations, administrative management, education and training courses, notification and communication and out on duty conditions, etc.The results based on a questionnaire with recycling rate at 72% confirmed that there is still room for improvement in administrative management and serious shortage of equipment is caused by constrained budget. However, education and training are essential and the results are positive and the attitude and enthusiasm of the force are highly appreciated and recognized.In conclusion, the contribution of the volunteer fire organization in assisting rescue missions is assured and admitted.
