The subjects were the players who participated in University Volleyball League Open Level-1 2015. 373 questionnaires were distributed and 362 valid ones were collected. The research tool was “Scale of Goal Orientation, Participation Motivation and Group Cohesiveness of University Volleyball League Open Level-1 Players”. The data were analyzed by independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The level of significance was set at α= .05. The results are shown as follows: 1. Age, grade, sport experience and qualification, average weekly exercises and the best performances have no significant impact on the goal orientation of the University Volleyball League players; but the difference is significant between male and female subjects. 2. The University Volleyball League players in different grades do not have significantly different participation motivation; but gender, age, sport experience and qualification, average weekly exercises and the best performances exert significant impact on their participation motivation. 3. Age, grade, average weekly exercises and the best performances have no significant impact on the group cohesiveness of the University Volleyball League players; but the differences are significant between male and female subjects and among the subjects with different sport experience and qualification. 4. The goal orientation of the University Volleyball League players is positively correlated with “External Regulation”, “Internal Regulation”, “Identification Regulation” and “Intrinsic Motivation”, and significantly and negatively correlated with “Unmotivated” under participation motivation. The participation motivation is positively correlated with “Interpersonal Attraction”, “Team Adaptation”, “Interpersonal Agreeableness” and “Team Cooperation”. The goal orientation is positively correlated with “Interpersonal Attraction”, “Team Adaptation”, “Interpersonal Agreeableness” and “Team Cooperation”. 5. “Ego Orientation” under goal orientation, “Intrinsic Motivation” under participation motivation and “External Regulation” can effectively predict group cohesiveness. “Intrinsic Motivation” has the greatest predictive power.
