Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 教育學系碩士班 === 104 === This research is a teacher-based action research, which is focused on constructing the context of cooperative learning as remedial teaching strategy, in order to promote on learning the concept of addition and subtraction of second grade pupil, who with low performance of mathematics.
In the while of reviewing the related literatures of cooperative learning and remedial teaching, research theory and methodology is addressed. Two steps are adopted in the progress of research. Firstly, this research uses cooperative learning to teach the units of addition and subtraction. Secondly, the research adds peer group learning and mastery learning into the remedial teaching. After twenty times of teaching, the data are collected variously with quiz test, learning profile, record of solving math problems, the observed record of cooperative teacher and the researcher by participant observation and unstructured interview. The research discoveries are concludes as following.
1. Cooperative learning with assistance of peer group and remedial teaching is the way of moderating the mental pressure of student with low- achieved mathematics.
2. Cooperative learning makes different effect on different student.
(1). STAD promotes obviously the most students’ the performance of mathematics.
(2). STAD encourages obviously students’ learning interesting and self-concept.
(3). STAD do not promotes obviously the performance of students with the low achievement of mathematics.
3. Pupil mood, leaning achievement, peer group cooperation, parents’ assistance, curriculum design and time pressure of teaching are the related and significant factors, which impacts the effectiveness of teaching.
The suggestions are concluded as following.
1. Action research is the way of helping teacher to find the problems crux of teaching practice and promoting teacher’s professional performance.
2. Good classroom management and learning atmosphere is the rrequirement of practicing the cooperative learning.
3. The peer group selection, maintenance and enhancement of the learning motivation of low achieved students, and assistance network of parents, are the significant factors which related to failure and success of students’ learning.
4. The researcher suggests that increasing the students numbers, reserach and observation periods, tracking research of case students could be the orientations for future researches.
