| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 104 === The main purpose of this research is to understand what are the parents and childrens’ purpose in chocing covers of picture books.This project was based on reading resaerch articles and collecting data by interviewing parents and children, then give further advice to researchers, parents, picture books designers and publishers who want to do more research on this topic.
The research project was based on Qualitative Research Methods which divided into three parts: 1.Type of picture books which includes design, binding, material and the art style of the pictures. 2. The cover design elements in picture books which include the fonts in a picture book, the way how to use art meterial and color effenciently. 3. The cover layout in picture books need to be more creative and lively, therefore; the topic of the picture books will be more clear .
Accroding to the restult after interviewing parents and their children with the age between 4-7.The parents, teachers, publishers, futher researchers and the authors of picture books were given some realted suggestions.
