The Study of Elder Pilgrams’ Leisure Experiences,Leisure Benefits,and Leisure Satisfactions-taking Nanpu General Chen Temple as an Example

碩士 === 南開科技大學 === 福祉科技與服務管理所 === 104 === The purposes of this study were: (1) to explore the factors of leisure experiences, benefits, and satisfactions of pilgrims who are older than 50 living in Taichung, Changhua, and Nantou areas; (2) to investigate the differences between or among different demographical backgrounds of these pilgrims in terms of different factors developed through Factor Analysis from these pilgrims’ leisure experiences, benefits, and satisfactions. The instrument of this study is “The Leisure Experiences, Benefits, and Satisfactions Scales” developed by the researcher of this study based on other related scales. Two hundred and fifty effective surveys were collected through convenience sampling. Factor analysis, t-test, and One-Way ANOVA were applied through SPSS 22.0 for Windows. The results of factors exploring showed that: three dimensions are derived from pilgrims’ leisure experiences namely “the Retrospection of Social Norms”, “Innovation”, and “Folk Custom Identity; four dimensions are derived from pilgrims’ leisure benefits namely “Soundness of Mind”, “BalancedLifestyle”,“Self-improvement”, and“Social Status Improvement”; three dimensions are derived from pilgrims’ leisure satisfactions namely “Facilities with Convenient Amenities”,“Mental Health”, and “Comfortable Environments”. For the differences detecting between or among different demographical backgrounds, the results showed that: there are significant differences among different pilgrims in terms of occupation, living condition, income, and transportation status in all dimensions of leisure experiences; significant differences exist among all variables except age and gender in all dimensions of leisure benefits; significant differences also exist among variables of occupation, income, and transportation in all dimensions of leisure satisfactions.
