Summary:碩士 === 南開科技大學 === 福祉科技與服務管理所 === 104 === The advent of an aging society , the elderly person 's right to learn more and more attention .This study aims to understand the motivation of the elderly who continue to participate in learning activities, their learning satisfaction, and the relationship between the motivation and satisfaction. Six elderly learners who kept on participating in the learning activities of Zhushan Activity Center were interviewed in this study. The study collected and analyzed related data by adopting purposive sampling of qualitative research and in-depth interview. Study results showed that: (1) "Escape and excitement" were the main motivations for the elderly learners. (2)The motivations of continuous participation could be affected by some factors, such as by environment. (3) The facet of “Teacher’s teaching” was the most satisfied to elderly learners. (4) The relationship between continuous learning motivation and learning satisfaction was related. Some suggestions were made as the following: (1) To the elderly education centers: Prepare diverse activities for solitary old adults, periodically have an learning outcomes exhibition to promote "learning outcomes", recruit teachers who can meet learners’ need, and treat learners with service enthusiasm. (2)To the elderly learners: Promote elderly learning motivation and encourage learners to continuously participate learning activities. (3) To relative organizations: Concern the learning needs of solitary elderly learners in Zhushan, and protect their learning rights.
