The purpose of the study was to explore the experience and the psychological adjustment of the members of the community. The study was narrative approach in qualitative research. The researcher used the purposive sampling to invite 4 community members who has lived in the community for more than 6 months. The researcher interviewed the 4 community members about 4-10 times each. The interview data of the 4 respondents were analyzed with holistic-content analysis. The results were as follow: 1. The 4 respondents reported their significant events and the impacts of the therapeutic community can be classified into 5 different categories : changing the bad habits, changing the attitudes towards HIV/AIDS, changing the attitudes towards the illegal drugs, changing the attitudes towards the christianity, and changing the attitudes towards the therapeutic community. The attitudes above were all more healthy. 2. The 4 respondents reported the significant events and the impacts of the therapeutic community had the similarities : they got the nutrients to growth from the events and the impacts,their life themes were all looking for the way to reconstruct self and the life that drug-free and no more tired by HIV/AIDS. They were all towards the christianity to move to varying degrees, and their above changes helped their lives in the community and the future. 3. The factors prompted psychological adjustment in the therapeutic community : family support, the positive change of attitudes towards the HIV/AIDS, the identity to the christianity, and the interpersonal interactions in the community. According to the findings, the suggestions were addressed including guidines for the practitioners to serve as the HIV-infected drug users and suggestions regarding the future studies.
