Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 人力與知識管理研究所 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the juncture among employees’ satisfaction of work welfare, sense of happiness, and their retention intention. In recent years, enterprises in Taiwan have faced the drain of exceptional talent; therefore, numbers of enterprises have taken steps to recruit and retain the talent by offering diverse pleasing benefits. Additionally, bettering the atmosphere at workplace has been one of the means to increase employees’ aspiration to remain in office. In this study, the sense of happiness was set as a mediator to see if there is any mediation effect to work welfare system and intention to stay.
This research objects sampled employees at different position form manufacturing and service industry consisted of five hundred to a thousand employees in southern Taiwan. Convenience sampling and paper-based questionnaire method was applied. A total of three hundred and sixty questionnaires were administered. SPSS was employed to analyze three hundred and twenty-five effective questionnaires by descriptive statistic, reliability analysis, item analysis, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and regression analysis. The results of the analyses are described as follow:
1. Work welfare has positive influence on sense of happiness.
2. Work welfare has positive influence on retention intention.
3. Sense of happiness has positive influence on retention intention.
The above outcomes showed that enterprises in Taiwan can enhance employees’ satisfaction of work welfare to secure their sense of happiness and intention to stay. The consideration to personnel cost, however, has limited the diversity of benefits. In order to satisfy various needs of employees, the proposition of the study is to transform the prescribed work welfare into optional ones. Last, the result of this study would used to provide practical management advice for the application of enterprises and reference to future researchers.
