Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 軟體工程與管理學系 === 104 === The advance of wireless technologies and versatility of mobile devices create opportunities to overcome the limitation in traditional class learning. Compared to the traditional class learning, context-aware ubiquitous learning (u-learning) provides many advantages such as immediacy, accessibility, permanency, interactivity, and situating of instructional activities for learners to acquire knowledge. These advantages enable learners to build contextual and hierarchical knowledge in the right time and right place which are suitable for mathematical learning. Mathematical learning requires moving back and forth in real life problem-solving and abstraction to increase mathematical literacy. However, learners usually confront obstacles in the abstract concepts of mathematical learning. The objective of this research is to develop a u-learning system and apply 5E learning cycle (engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and evaluation) for mathematical learning. Based on the 5E learning cycle, we design the course contents and tests of number and quantity, and geometry for grade 9 students. The contribution of this research is to design the mathematical learning contents and tests followed by the 5E learning cycle and apply them in the u-learning system. Teachers can access the students’ learning portfolio and give them feedback and support immediately from this system. Future study aims to conduct experiments to investigate whether the u-learning system can improve the learning effects in learning mathematics for high school students.
