However, due to the low spending power of the masses on the performing arts; the uncertainty of the government subsidies and the lack of sponsored enterprises, performing arts groups are facing many difficulties in operation. The government is actively trying to develop the industries related to cultural and creative. It hopes to enhance the competitiveness of the country by increasing the cultural and creative soft power. It’s indispensable to promote cultural and creative industries by training creative talents and increasing consumer population which can be achived by encouraging young people to participate in cultural and artistic activities. In this study, the literature about the performing arts was collected and summarized, it goes further to apply the four constituent elements of dramaturgical theory, namely performance element, setting element, audience element and actors element, as research framework, to analyze and discuss the factors that influence the willingness of high school students on the performing arts activities. The questionnaire for this study is proceded by using the purposively sampling as the data collection method. The senior high school students in Kaohsiung, to whom 182 questionnaires were delivered, were the subject of the study, from whom 161 valid questionnaires were recovered. The statistical software SPSS22.0 was used to analyze the data. The main findings were as follows : the three levels, namely setting, actors and audience are a positive impact on the high school students willingness to go to the performing arts activities, level of performance has no a significant impact.
