Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 機械與自動化工程研究所 === 104 === PID (Photo Ionization Detector) is the use of light ion technology to detection of toxic gas or Volatile Organic Compounds (Volatile Organic Compounds, VOC) of the density (such as: vinyl chloride).It is a detector with high sensitivity and wide applications. Its working principle is that when the gas under test by high-energy ultraviolet light irradiation, the edge will produce charged ions, the ions under the effect of applied electric field, the trace current directional movement, will happen again after amplification and processing, the output current signal, finally learned that concentration of the gas under test, which remind people alert about the gas under test is harmful to human body and environment, in order to achieve environmental protection and safety requirements. Light ion type detectors are widely used in a wide variety of organic chemical tests, in the prevention of toxic gas leakage detection or accident area confirmation, importance is quite prominent.
In this paper the PID in open environment, while working on a gas detection contain VOC, because contain heavy moisture in the atmosphere would produce false alarms, caused the scene security personnel if there is a dangerous security accident frequency in the confirmation.
This study choose 10.6 eV UV lamp, in the study of PID effect on moisture improved, to design a set of pretreatment system. Improvement of the system is using the "Bernoulli’s Theorem" of effort into a negative pressure aspirator, again tie-in profiteer, flowmeter...And other facilities, in order to reduce the interference caused by because of the heavy humidity PID of false alarms. Through the research of improving design, and a series of field experiments, verified the number of false alarms per month can be reduced to improve the condition of less than 20% before.
