Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 環境與安全衛生工程研究所 === 104 === This study utilized a regional teaching hospital as the research subject, and used questionnaire to survey its employees’ health condition and needs of health service. In order to explore the differences among variables of demography and medical practitioners’ healthy life style, work style and occupational health service, this questionnaire was divided into four major sections: 1. Demographic variables and health conditions; 2. Life style and health conditions; 3. Work style and health conditions; 4. Occupational health service and health condition. In this study, the major conclusions were showed according to the research results, and suggestions to hospital’s leadership policy were proposed. A structured questionnaire was organized in this study and the reponses data have been underwent a Content Validity Test by 5 experts/scholars in related fields. The Cronbach’s αreliability test result was 0.961 . A C ross-section Survey was adopted to collect data and SPSS 22.0 for Windows was used to analyze the statistical data. Totally,450 copies of questionnaire were sent and 395 valid copies returned (88%). The valid observations contained 78 males (19.7%) and 317 females(80.3%). According to the valid data collected, the averaged age is 38, and the professional backgrounds included physicians, nursing, medical personnel, administrators, technicians and outsourcing personnel.
The following facts are discovered by analysising specific controlled demographic variables: “BMI” has significant difference between differet “Sex” variables, which showing that males’ BMI (≧24) is greater than females’; in terms of “Tiredness”, it showed significant difference in “Age”, where age below 25 accounted for the majority (57.5%). The survey results showed a younger trend of self-aware tiredness; the significant difference in “Work Stress”, “Age” and “Job Characteristics”; among which, employees who expressed to have great “Stress”, their “Age” were mainly between 26 – 35 (32.4 %), and 36-45 (30.3 %); “Lower Back Pain” had significant difference in “Sex”, “Age” and “Professional Background”, where females were accounted for the majority (59.6 %); “Age” was mostly between 36-45 (59.9 %); nursing personnel were accounted for the majority in the “Professional Background” (64.5 %), next was the physician (55.9 %); for the ratio of the “Lack of Exercise”, significant difference had been reached in “Sex”, “Age” and “Professional Background”. Where females were accounted for the majority (68.4%), and age groups, 26-35 and 36- 45, were accounted for the majority of (76.3%) and (62.5%), respectively, and in the professional background the nursing personnel were accounted for the majority (73.2%), thus the research result showed that the nursing personnel were significantly lack of exercise.
Therefore, the research results of this study shows the major health problems of those medical workers are tiredness, work stress, lower back pain and lack of exercise, as well as a younger trend of employees’ health problems. The research results could be employeed as a reference to the planning for Health Promotion Intervention in Hospital Workplace and Occupational Health Service Resources.
