| Summary: | 碩士 === 南榮科技大學 === 工程科技研究所碩士班 === 104 === As the trend of ‘flipped classroom’ keeps surging, the learning subject evolves from the traditional teacher-centered classes into the student-centered ones. Hence, we need to make some breakthrough in the teaching strategies to keep up with the trend. ‘Experiential learning’ is no doubt the mainstream in recent years, which makes every student the learning subject in the classroom. It highlights five steps to achieve learning success: learning by sitting, learning by walking, doing by learning, learning by doing, and learning by competing. In an ‘experiential learning’ classroom, a teacher has to prepare an exquisite curriculum and let learning happen in the authentic field area so as to internalize the knowledge smoothly. The coming age of Information Technology makes learning easier than ever before. Google Maps and Augmented Reality (AR) for interactive navigation platform both integrate local resources and marketing into an amazing website output, which is really a good demonstration of ‘Experiential Learning.’
This study is conducted under the concept of ‘Smart Campus.’ The subject of this study is the students in Sia-ying Junior High School. Students there receive ‘Experiential Learning’ education. Their learning platform is on the interactive navigation website ‘The Virtual Reality of Sia-ying Section and Sia-ying Junior High School.’ By using this platform, students can explore their hometown and their campus anytime and anywhere. From the website, they learned the history and the features of their hometown and their school first. And then they went to the local hot spots to experience the real things and to verify the knowledge they have gained on the website. Besides, the navigation app ‘Smart A-win Campus’ provides a quick way to walk in the virtual campus and know more about the school. This app is the very fulfillment of the Executive Yuan’s ‘i236 project—Smart Taiwan.’ The advanced computer technology and interactive multimedia makes learning easier and more interesting.
