The original wire diameter is ∅1mm. After 13 passes of single-die extension the wire diameter becomes ∅0.1mm. It will be easily letting the wire be broken if continue drawing the wire. In order to avoid this situation, we take heat treating to the wire. Use different heat treating parameter to find out which combination can reduce the residual stress in the wire. Improve the success rate of wire drawing when the wire diameter less than ∅0.1mm. In this study it is found that 250℃ heating temperature and holding three hours can reduce the most drawing load, these data will be reference for wire drawing in the future.
