By doing the field investigations, interviews, history researches, literature analysis, and studying the historical records to understand how people in Kuang-Fu community first encounter with Ko-kah-hì and how they reconstructed and preserved it. Furthermore, by doing this research, we may understand how “Nanguan Sinjinjhu” Troupe worked on the preservation of Ko-kah-hì and how they let the public people contact with it and learn it. Through the music analysis, we may gain the clear and actual understanding about the term “North-South Cross”. We may understand how Nanguan and Beiguan integrated in different aspects. This thesis contains: Chapter One-The introduction of the motivation and the purpose of this study, bibliography review, methodology, research area and limitation. Chapter Two is the difinition of Ko-kah-hì terms. The author records Wang-Bao and Wang-Wan-Hu Famliy’s devotion on Ko-kah-hì from the develpment of Ko-kah-hì in Taiwan point of veiw. Chapter Three is the record of Kuang-Fu community reconstruction and preservation, and attempt to integrate with new innovations. The author records the teaching and performance by“Nanguan Sinjinjhu” Troupe as a social study and research the possibility of integrated the traditional concepts and modern ideas. Chapter Four is the music analysis. It contains the music analysis of the performance reorder and hand script of maestro Lin Wan Chou, Ko-kah-hì music recorder and the actual performance recorder of “Nanguan Sinjinjhu” Troupe, as well as the methodology of “North-South Cross”that had been performed in the past. The analysis also present the problems occurred during the re-write of the music and the play. Chapter Five is the conclusion.
