Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育與學習科技學系 === 104 === Abstract The objective of this study is to explore the current operations and features of professional learning communities for elementary school teachers in the Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli regions. The study compares with the differences of the perceptions among the educators with different background variables and group operations. A questionnaire was conducted in the study to survey teachers of 88 elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli regions. The stratified random sampling was adopted to select 699 teachers and 686 copies of answered questionnaire were received with a response rate of 98.14%. The data received were analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent-sample t test and other SPSS analysis to obtain the following results: (1)Over 50% of the PLC in elementary schools in Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli regions have been established for more than three years. The topics of the PLC were mostly related to teaching. The conveners of the PLC were nearly deans or teachers of the school. (2)The features of the PLC in elementary schools conformed to these five indicators: shared vision and goal, administrative support scenario, showing personal interaction, demonstrating professional practice, and continuous improvement as well as review results. (3)The awareness of matching the PLC features among the elementary school teachers in Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli regions varied due to the differences in genders and teachers’ seniority. To ground on the conclusions of this study, a number of suggestions are provided for the educational authorities, school administrative departments, and future researchers.
