Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 管理學院高階經營管理碩士在職專班 === 104 === Soldiers must be loyal to their country, which is a deep-seated concept. However, there have been several officers involving the recent espionage cases, which resulted in the huge loss of the society and nation. Previous literature paid little attention to the antecedents of soldiers’ defection behavior. Through analyzing the espionage cases in the past decade, this study explores the relationship between the officers’ loyalty and the defection behavior and attempts to construct a conceptual framework based on the theory of the concentric relational configuration for exploring the soldiers’ defection behavior. Through applying the theory of concentric relational configuration, this study first proposes a typology of soldiers and then uses the recent espionage cases in the past decade to analyze the relationship between the soldiers’ characteristics configurations and their defection behavior. In addition, the researcher according to practical experience over years attempts to propose valuable suggestions to the unit of loyalty investigation in the army. Regarding the generalization ability of the current study, scholars can try to employ the proposed framework to explore the defection behavior of commercial espionages.
