In 2012, Typhoon Saolabring heavy rainfall whichcaused serious debris flow and landslide.The disaster threaten to the safety of the residents live and property.
The landslide on north of the hualien to investigate the vegetation restoration and applya complete criteria table to classified the vegetation into bad,acceptable, good, and perfect levels. According to the results, we develope the disaster prevention and management for different landslide area. For northern area of Hualian county,wenot only suggest the green engineering techniques, but also establish the vegetation restoration and application manual of enginnering with reference to other region about landslide improvement in Taiwan.
The project have already finished the assessment for carbon dioxide emission in engineering management. The results shows that it reduce the impact on the ecological environment and also enhance the speed of the vegetation restoration.To find the balance between disaster prevention and ecological restoration.
