Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 104 === This study is mainly to probe into the impacts upon the interpersonal relationships of vocational senior high school students caused by their extroversive personalities and how often they use the cell phones. The questionnaire survey has been conducted, and the questionnaires contain the subject’s general information, an extroversive personality inventory, a cell phone usage scale and an interpersonal relationships scale. There were 491 students recruited from National Hualien Industrial Vocational Senior High School to answer the questionnaires; an empirical model conforming to the structure of this study was then created, modified and discussed. The findings of this study show that those subjects, who have more extroversive personality traits, i.e. more extroversive, use all the functions listed in this study more frequently. To be more specific, (1) the more they use their cells to make phone calls, the more positive impacts they create upon their family relationships, (2) the more they use the cell’s communication apps, the more positive impacts upon their peer relationships, (3) the more they use their cells to play games, the more positive impacts upon their cyberspace relationships, (4) the more they use their cells to watch films and listen to music, the more negative impacts upon the teacher-student relationships, and (5) the more they use their cells to browse webpages, the more positive impacts upon the teacher-student relationships. Furthermore, as far as those who are more extroversive are concerned, (1) they create positive impacts upon their relationships with their peers, family and teachers, (2) they use their cells to play games more frequently and hence indirectly create positive impacts upon their cyberspace relationships, (3) they use their cells to watch films and listen to music more frequently and hence indirectly create negative impacts upon the teacher-student relationships. Based on the abovementioned findings, this study provides those who are interested in school education, family education, professional counseling work and research in the future with related suggestions for follow-up practice or research work.
