With the core value of character“responsibility ” and“respect ” as the topic, the researcher applied the electronic picture storybooks to explore the learning affection of the first grade students in the character education curriculum program. The subjects were 26 first grade students from seven to eight years old. The study took eight weeks, and the data collected through teaching observation recoirdings, teachers’ daily reflection journals, observations, students’ feedback, and the checklist of character convention was to compare and analyse, and to explore and understand the effect of the students’ learning attitudes and behavior toward resposibility and respect. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The teacher applied the electronic picture storybooks to implement the character education curriculum program (1)Choose the appropriate electronic picture storybooks, and adjust the teaching material and models properly to resolve the encountering limits and difficulties during the teaching process. (2)Through the course of a two-stage action research, the researcher can develop a viable character of the teaching mode and strategy. 2. The electronic picture storybooks help to improve the efficiency of implemention of character education curriculum (1)Incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education did promote the students’ behavior and attitudes toward responsibility and respect. (2)Through incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education curriculum of teaching activities, the students’ ability in group discussions and role-playing had promoted. (3)Through incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education curriculum of teaching activities, the students became more empathetic. (4)Implementing different types of electronic picture storybooks with different teaching models did achieve the best efficiency of character education. 3. After the researcher incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education instruction, the teacher and the students’ changes and development (1)Incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education instruction promote the students’ learning efficiency of cognitive, affective and behavioural component toward resposibility and respect. (2)Incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education instruction promote the teacher’s professional ability of information technology integration into (character education curriculum ) instruction. 4. After the researcher incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education instruction, the students’ overall learning have a positive impact (1)Incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education instruction can effectively enhance the students’ interest and motivation for reading picture storybooks. (2)Incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education instruction improve the students' abilities of concentration and comprehension to read the picture storybooks. (3)Incorporating electronic picture storybooks into character education instruction help the students to know the positive conception of utilizing multimedia materials, and extending the use of multimedia teaching materials.
