To serve this purpose, implementation of curriculum teaching was applied in the process of this research. 6th graders of schoolchildren as the target students, evaluation was made after the designed activities. Based on Improvement Project of Character Education by Ministry of Education (ROC), RESPECT as the core value, class activities designed and implemented by the researcher focused on their cognitive development, affective attitude and the practice of code of conduct. The teaching programs were proceeded as planned for 14 weeks. As their homeroom teacher, the researcher guided her 23 target students to comprehend and experience the meaning of COMPASSION. In hope of improving reliability and validity of this research, data gathered through pupils’ interaction, interviews, students’ & parental questionnaires, worksheets, reflective journals are recorded and analyzed. In sum, conclusions are as follows: ~ 1. Implementation of character education can improve schoolchildren’ physical and psychological development. 2. The effectiveness of character education implementation was improved with the aid of teaching media. 3. Class management strategies were improved in the process of character education implementation. 4. Teaching skills and effectiveness are improved during the process of this research. 5. In hope of improving character education implementation, the study may show some of the directions for parents, educators, the authority and other researchers related study field through the results and the suggestions.
