Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 輔導與諮商學系研究所 === 104 === This study explored the secondary school teachers’ experience of encountering job burnout and how they dealt with the pressure. It showed that converts to a new and different environment temporarily assist the teachers who suffered from burnout to regain sellf-satisfaction and energy to face their job challenges again. 5 secondary school teachers were interviewed about the activities of their choices for their short-term getaway. The findings via template analysis are as follows: Temporary getaway from the job helps detag the teacher’s traditional identity by the society. Also, having contact with another culture contributes to widen their views to the world. The positive experience which the teachers gained from getaway can be transferred to their job. This research will be provided to teachers, reasearchers, and educational authorities as suggestions and reference.
