Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 公共事務與公民教育學系 === 104 === This thesis was based on the nature and experience courses designed by Counseling Group named “Spread the Wings to Challenge Myself” established by Student Off-Campus Guidance Committee in Changhua County. By fully participating in the course from 2015-2016, the researcher investigated in the ideas and process of curriculum design, and observed as well as interviewed students in an attempt to explore the effect of nature and experience courses on highly-concerning students’ positive behavior. In the study, suggestions were proposed for educators and teachers who intended to develop similar curricula. The curriculum was designed by Student Off-Campus Guidance Committee in Changhua County, and Changhua Counseling Group members, inclusive of drill masters in (vocational) high schools and volunteers in Sun Spring in Changhua County, accompanied students to experience various experience courses. The subjects were highly-concerning students from four junior high school students in Changhua County, and concerning the overnight activities, participants were boys only. The shared features of highly-concerning students were frequent absence from school, deviant behavior, moodiness, poor academic performance, etc. The classes took place every Saturday for 3 semesters. The courses were planned in advance and remained flexible so that teenagers could learn independently. It was found that highly-concerning students had little involvement, and that proper preparation, guidance, and company could sustain students through the courses, boost their confidence and self-assurance as well as facilitate interpersonal interaction and team spirit, thereby leading students to have positive behavior. The research findings were as follows. (1) Through promotion of the goal of the activities, students’ motivation to participate and willingness to recommend from school authorities were increased. (2) Teachers and students alike would have expected harvest through the execution of the activities. (3) Volunteers in Counseling Group played the role of students’ significant others. (4) Teachers and students were both highly satisfied with the diverse adventure education activities planned by Counseling Group. (5) Highly-concerning students gained a sense of achievement and confidence through activity participation. (6) Highly-concerning students showed more positive behavior when returning to school after participation. (7) An apparent increase was found in volunteers’ continual involvement and teachers’ willingness to recommend students to take part. Based on the above research results, it is suggested to (1) increase diverse activities, (2) adopt similar courses, (3) conduct a further research in girl students, (4) factor in highly-concerning students’ parents, and (5) conduct pre-study and post-study.
