In order to stop all of the mass, before they happen in the society, the original and fundamental solution is to build citizens’ good character and build the good moral from the their childhood, then we can expect a society which closes to an ideal one.   Grade 3rd elementary students are at the transformation stage of the character development as well as the best time for being modeled and guided in their lives.   At this stage, Grade 3rd students are interested and attracted by illustrated books and vivid storybooks. They are capable and easy for identity the good roles in the books and be educated naturally. Therefore, it will be an excellent method to use illustrated books and vivid storybooks as the tools to build up good character education on them.   The purpose of this study, is trying to use the action research method, focus on the third grade students, to explore the implementation of children's picture books being used in character education, study the attainable conclusions are as following: 1.The implementation of character education is used in children's picture storybooks by discussion method. 2.Children's picture storybooks are used in the effectiveness of the implementation of good character education. 3.Teachers’ further and advance professional growth can be benefited and promoted by using the action research.
