Upon this basis, this paper seeks to outline and offer a clear view of the spiritual origins of these things, and of their significance within that context of those times. The scholars of the Six Dynasties period studied painting, calligraphy, horseback archery, and fencing, and the results of this study show that, externally, these pursuits have something to do with the family culture, political fashions, and competitive vying among scholar groups, while internally, they had something to do with personal self-expectations, inner exploration, the display of personal abilities, and the cultivation of interest. 郭永吉 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 154 zh-TW
