Nowadays, people can take notes whenever they want and wherever they go without restriction of any time and any devices. Digital note-taking system is not simply the mobile version of word processing software, people can also use it to organize their to-do lists and share the notes with other people when they need to cooperate with each other in order to finish the documents. Furthermore, people can use some digital note-taking system to organize many different kinds of files, such as pictures, videos and audios. Since there are many digital note-taking system on App store or Google Play, people can choose whatever they want depend on their working condition to help them manage documents and save time. This study is to find out the usability problems when people are using the digital note-taking system. Since Evernote and OneNote are the most popular note-taking applications on App store and Google Play, this study invited users to do the usability test of these two applications. The usability test result showed that (1)The note-taking system interface should keep the metaphor and the icon consistency. (2)The system should keep the users’ previous software interface usage habits. (3)The system should support different document editing mode in order to meet users’ needs. (4)The system interface should keep update their function based on the changing of users’ usage habit.
