The bidirectional DC (BDC) converter play an important role in renewable energy systems, its bidirectional power transmission ability can make the renewable energy system more reliable and stable for power generation. The main theme of this thesis is to design and implementation a bidirectional resonant DC converter, the topology consists of push-pull, half-bridge , the resonant inductor and resonant capacitor. The converter has a high conversion ratio, electrical isolation and soft switching capability. In order to verify this converter, this paper analyzes the characteristics by Psim software to simulate the circuit. At last, a rated power of 1k W, low-voltage to 50V, high voltage test for the bi-directional DC resonant converters 400V is implemanted, and also using DSP TMS320F28069 to control. By the pratical experiment, it showed the result that when the converter operating in boost mode, the efficiency up to 94.5%. when the converter operating in buck mode,the efficiency up to 94.8%.
