Summary: | 博士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育研究所 === 104 === Background: Integrated Multiple Fitness Exercise Program (IMFEP) is the main trend for elderly health promotion. It is not only reducing the physiological effects of aging , but also maintains or improves the fitness capacity among elderly peoples. Since the health elderly fitness promotion is a proven mean of preventive medicine, it demands greater attention. However, to date, most of the IMFEPs for elderly peoples were designed solely for disease population and whether the IMFEP can be applied to elderly people without any disease remains equivocal. In addition, previous studies do not include contain any Asia Cultural exercise elements and also lack of rigorous experimental and programmed design Motivation: To enrich the IMFEP with different cultural exercise elements. Purpose: Designed a Fu-Chi which contains Asia Cultural and experiment Fu-Chi training effect of community health elderly. Method: Martial art-related action (Fu-Chi) was primary exercise at the development stage of the IMFEP. The main focuses at this stage was on cardiovascular fitness, muscle fitness and balance of elder exercise training. The Fu-Chi was modified as according to experts’ recommendations. Then survey the Fu-Chi the satisfaction for the community elderly. In the exercise effect stage, a double-blind method was employed. Participants were recruited from the community in Tao-Yun city and were assigned to the Exercise Group (EG) or a Control Group (CG). The EG received 12-weeks of Fu-Chi training (3 times/weeks, 60 mins/times) whereas the CG just maintained the daily physical activity. Body composition, strength, balance and Senior Fitness Test were measured before and immediately after 12 weeks of intervention. All data were presented in average ± standard deviation. Mann-Whitney U test was employed to compare the differences between groups and Wilcoxon matched pairs signed rank test was used to compare the different within the group. The significant value was set at .05. Results: At the beginning, the Fu-Chi contents warm up, Tai Chi Chung Aerobic, Martial Art strength with Thera-band, Martial Art balance with Yoga ball and cool down (12, 20, 20, 8, 2-3 minutes respectively). The Fu-Chi contents warm up, Tai Chi Chung Aerobic, Martial Art strength with Thera-band, Martial Art balance with Yoga ball and cool down (12, 20, 20, 8, 2-3minutes, respectively). Because of the safety reasons, the “Golden Cock Standing on One Leg” only provided to the high-level balance performance elderly from three experts suggestions. And because those movements were included in the Martial Arts strength with Thera-band, the Martial Art balance with Yoga ball were removed from Fu-Chi. “Part the Wild Horse's Mane” and “Twin Peaks” were reduced the moving angle in posture transition. Back lunge movement replaced Leg curl movement in the “Balance Point and Lunge Squat”. Because the Martial Arts strength with Thera-band involve lots balance training, the “Martial Art balance with Yoga ball” was been removed from Fu-Chi and “Martial Arts strength with Thera-band” been chang to be “Martial Arts strength and balance with Thera-band”. The modified Fu-Chi included warm up, Tai Chi Chung Aerobic, Martial Arts strength and balance with Thera-band, cold down (7-8, 30, 20, 2-3 minutes). Twelve community elderly (79.38 ± 6.40 years) satisfied with Fu-Chi (Tai Chi Chung Aerobic 6.55 ± 0.13 points、Martial Arts Strength and Balance with Thera-band 5.79 ± 0.36 points, in Likert 7 point scale). Twelve community elderly (79.38 ± 6.40 years) satisfied with Fu-Chi (Tai Chi Chung Aerobic 6.55±0.13 points、Martial Arts Strength and Balance with Thera-band 5.79 ± 0.36 points, in Likert 7 point scale). In the exercise effect stage, EG (n=10, 72.00 ± 3.89 years) and had higher body composition than CG (n=7, 75.86 ± 2.91yrs) (arm circumference: EG 29.64 ± 2.47, CG 26.49 ± 1.93 cm; mid-thigh skinfold: EG 19.10 ± 7.36 CG 13.29 ± 3.01 mm). In post- test, the hip circumference (EG 96.53 ± 5.53 cm, CG 90.55 ± 4.29 cm), biceps skinfold (EG 10.09 ± 5.07 mm, CG 6.32 ± 2.23 mm) and mid-thigh skinfold (EG 19.48 ± 6.62 mm, CG 12.79 ± 3.11 mm). EG were improved the 30s sit to stand (pre 15.30 ± 4.40 times, post 20.10 ± 7.42 times) and Functional reach test (pre 36.67 ± 19.78 cm, post 41.72 ± 18.31 cm). CG were increasing the mid-thigh (pre 45.85 ± 4.15 cm, post 47.48 ± 3.93 cm) and reducing the left grip strength (pre 29.71 ± 4.69 kg, post 27.91 ± 4.85 kg). Conclusions: Fu-Chi is examination from relative exports and satisfies for community elder. It can enhance the lower limbs strength, balance and also maintain the grip strength. Suggestion: IMFEP would play a pivotal role in preventive medicine for elderly in the future. It should be encouraged to more Asia exercise training instructors to provide multivariate exercise and to show the effect of the Asia exercise model to the world.
