Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 政治經濟研究所碩士在職專班 === 104 === The main purpose of this study is to understand the influence of political socialization on political attitude of junior high school students in Taiwan, compare the difference in junior high school students’ political attitude under different background variables, and investigate the factors of most significant influence that affect political attitude of junior high school students in Kaohsiung.
This study enrolled the 9th graders studying in junior high schools in Kaohsiung City at the second semester in 2015 academic year as the research subjects, and used self-developed “questionnaire on political attitude of junior high school students” as the research tool to conduct the questionnaire survey. In the end, this study used statistical analysis methods, such as frequency distribution table, descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression analysis to analyze the data obtained.
The overall status of political attitude of junior high school students in Kaohsiung City was positive and aggressive. Parents’ parenting style, teachers’ teaching method, class atmosphere, frequency of obtainment of online political information, frequency of watching political talk shows on TV, condition of peer discussion about news, listening response of peers during peer discussion about political issues and development of different opinions all are variables affecting political attitude and all affected students’ political attitude.
The researcher intends to develop students with political attitude and behavior required by future democratic society. This study proposed specific suggestions according to the results obtained from the investigation on adolescence when students’ flexibility of political attitude is most critical, as reference for family, schools, government, media, and future studies.
