碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 藝術研究所 === 104 === Ever since Hsieh Ying-Chun participated in the 921 earthquake reconstruction, his architecture career began to have a significant shift. In addition to the timeconsuming, laborintensive reconstruction participation, through these experiences to develop a set of both open and intersubjective simple construction method, which is according to the local conditions, and further copy this system to the disasteraffected areas and rural areas around the world. With the gradually accumulated practical results, Hsieh YingChun has also become a wellknown figure in the construction industry, in Taiwan and even the global construction industry and the arts industry. He also obtained the majority of echoes and attention.          The research of this thesis aimed to deliberate the architecture practice of Hsieh YingChun from the aesthetics aspect. The most important of all is the living space, which he tried to build via collaborative construction, and the body, which involved in the creation process. The reference fields of Hsieh YingChun's construction achievements for many years are very extensive. Different from the existing relevant researches which studied the architecture professional and technical aspects including engineering methods, structures, materials, etc., this study will take the space and body aesthetic theory as the analytical tool, further clarify the core values and positioning of Hsieh YingChun and his team in the field of contemporary art.          After space and body twofold proposition analysis of his architecture works, the study found that the aesthetics philosophy of Hsieh YingChun does not tickle in forms but firmly attached to its construction practices and labor. However, such labor has been able to get global attention, is because it possesses the ability to integrate the opposing concept. On one hand, through actual practices Hsieh YingChun raised accurate criticism against the modern society; on the contrary, he respected and inherited the technology and value of the predecessors, so its aesthetics concept will not become cynical or thoughts of an armchair strategist. It manifested the social mission and importance of Hsieh YingChun as a contemporary artist and architect.
