Even the willingness of foreign inventors to invenst the country’s stock market and the intention of foreign companies of doing IPO in the country depend on this improtant factor. We could say that it is the knock-on effect.
Some scholars explore the global IPO market competition caused by the United States SOX Act from the viewpoint of Jurisdictional Competition. And they also study on the interacting control between Law Market Forces and the business needs to define the field of jurisdictional connotation in order to play a role in the field of international jurisdiction competition. Therefore, the development of laws and the regulations of IPO related is not only the single issue of the internal legal system of a country but also the reforms of the overdoing strict regulations and those too indulging ones are requested to fit the needs generated by the higher and higher mobility of the globalized capital.
This research studies on the differences of the IPO related regulations and the defining ways of a foreign issuing people between Taiwan’s legal system and Singapore’s. Through the data comparisons and summarization after having a large amount of the literature review together with the in depth interviews and the meeting discussions with the relative experts and companies, by the well-known industry analysis tool,SWOT, we try to explore the competitiveness and also the unsolved issues of our promotion for foreign companies’ having IPO in Taiwan. With the preliminary conclusion and suggestions, we sincerely hope that this research could be the initial and effective reference for the law and regulation amendment by the government units or those who are interested in studying this IPO field for making the more attrative funding market of our country.
