With this research design, the hydrological information can be swiftly acquired for the managing personnel so as to send an accurate command to relive and mitigate the calamity during heavy rainy period. By writing the application program for the smartphone to link to the server, the status of hydrological operations can be monitored, while the latitude and longitude of each facility are meanwhile included for the guided navigation. Therefore, following this combination of microcontroller with the quadcopter, those information regarding hydrological status and field images can be remotely sent to mobile devices, providing an efficient way of comprehending the hydrological dynamics. Both software development and hardware realization were made, and the completed product has been tested under different scenarios. Test results are proved to satisfy function requirements, exhibiting the potential of extending to other infrastructure applications.
