Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 心理學系 === 104 === Working memory and insight ability play an important role in daily problem solving. But the relationship between the working memory and insight is ambiguous and further investigation is needed. Previous studies showed that the alpha neurofeedback training was effectively improved the performance of working memory, however there is lack of study investigating the effect of alpha neurofeedback training on insight. Thus, an effective control group design with one session neurofeedback training has been proposed in this study. Our study proposed that the increasing in alpha rhythm amplitude through the alpha neurofeedback training could improve the performance in working memory task and insight task. The alpha and control group was received the alpha and random neurofeedback training respectively. And the performance in working memory task (2-Back & BDST) and insight task (CWRAT & NRT) were evaluated. With the intervention of neurofeedback training, the control group was only improved in the BDST and CWRAT, and the alpha group was improved in all of the tasks included 2-Back, BDST, CWRAT and NRT. Furthermore, improvement in posttest of all of the tasks of alpha group was significant higher than control group. And a significant correlation between working memory (2-Back) and insight (CWRAT) was observed in responders (those who induced the higher alpha amplitude). The results implicated that the alpha neurofeedback training enhances the performance in working memory and insight.
