Progresses along with the time, people emphasizes on quality of life. It has a great impact on human health whether the ambient air quality is good or bad. In order to monitor and make sure the environment comfortable, it's necessary to make heterogeneous objects communicated each other as well as interacted with the real world and provide a way of automatic management among these objects. To solve this problem systematically, the best way to implement and manage the system is utilized workflow tools, such as BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to describe the workflow of the system. With this way, the designed system can automatically perform applications with the pre-setting flows based on the business process tool. When the system requirements are changed, managers just need to modify the flow chart (process) without to understand the underlying technical details. In this research, BPMN is used to describe the system which is used to monitor a varied environment under changing the different conditions. Many different sensors and actuators are employed to catch or control environment parameters. Three scenarios are considered in this research for evaluation the performance of using BPMN to create such an application system. It is shown that the system will show the response of the modified environment on the management system. The operator can catch the information of these modifications. The developer can also change their system configuration by changing the corresponding workflow via operating Activiti process engine.
